Frequently Asked Questions
What makes The Brand Soap Co. soaps different from commercial soaps?
Our soaps are handcrafted, cold-processed in small batches using natural, high-quality ingredients. We retain the natural glycerin that moisturizes your skin. Commercial soaps often use additives, preservatives, and processes that strip away glycerin and natural moisture.Do your soaps contain preservatives or synthetic additives?
All of our soaps are made with natural oils, clays, and botanicals. Fragrance oils and colorants used are chosen to be skin-safe.Why do your soap bars vary in size, shape, or color?
Since our soaps are made by hand (mixed, poured, cut, and stamped locally) in small batches, there will naturally be slight variation in size, shape, color, and design. These differences are part of what makes each bar unique. How should I store the soap to extend its shelf life?
Keep soaps dry between uses, ideally on a well-draining soap dish. We allow our soaps to cure in the open air, which strengthens them; similarly, keeping them dry helps them last a long time.To maximize product life and performance:
Keep bar products in a dry, well-drained area.
Avoid standing water.
Store away from excessive humidity whenever possible.
Allow bars to dry between uses.
Proper storage helps extend the life of your soaps, shampoo bars, conditioner bars, and lotion bars.
Are Your Products Made With Safe Ingredients?
Yes. We carefully select ingredients that are effective, gentle, and commonly used in natural personal care products.
Will the scent fade or change over time?
The fragrance may mellow over time, but when you begin using the soap the full scent becomes more noticeable. Because of the natural ingredients and cold-process method, the soap will not leave harsh or synthetic residue on your skin.I'm New to Natural Products. What Should I Know?
Natural and scented products can affect everyone differently. If you are new to natural skincare, body care, or fragrance products, we recommend reviewing ingredient information and performing a patch test when appropriate.
Do You Make Deodorants, Roll-Ons, Lotions, or Body Butters?
At this time, these products may not be available year-round. Please check our current product collection or contact us for the latest availability and seasonal offerings.
How long will my soap bar last?
That depends on frequency of use, water hardness, and storage. With good care and drying between uses, a single bar can last many weeks. Our cold-processed bars are dense, long-lasting, and retain glycerin which helps moisturize and maintain quality over time. What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
We strive to use ingredients that are gentle (natural oils, clays, etc.). However, fragrances or botanicals can still cause reactions in some people. We recommend doing a patch test before full use and reviewing the full ingredients list for each product. discontinue use immediately if allergic reactions or irritations occur. What is your shipping and return policy?
We offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount (check current threshold on site). For returns/exchanges, see our Shipping & Returns page. Usually, returns are handled for defective products, damaged items, or errors on our part.Do you offer wholesale opportunities?

Lotion Bar: Warm the lotion bar against your skin for a few seconds to soften the nourishing oils. Glide the bar over dry areas and massage the oils into your skin until absorbed. A little goes a long way..
Shampoo Bar: Wet hair, lather the shampoo bar in your hands or directly on your scalp, massage through hair, then rinse thoroughly.
Laundry Soap: Add 1 rounded scoop to small and medium loads. For larger loads, use 2 rounded scoops. Add directly to your washer before starting the laundry cycle.
Dish Soap: Using a sponge or brush, work the soap into a rich lather. Wash dishes as usual, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Empty excess water from ramekin.
Hair Conditioner Bar: After shampooing, wet the conditioner bar with warm water or warm it between your hands. Glide the bar directly onto your hair or rub it between your hands and apply. Leave on for several minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Shower Steamers: Place the shower steamer on the shower floor away from direct water flow. Run a comfortably hot shower to create steam and release the aroma. Avoid direct skin contact and rinse the shower floor area after use.
